A Newsletter on Marketing (and Life) #048
The end of this newsletter...in it's current form.
I've been going crazy.
Every Friday morning, my anxiety restarts—another f*cking newsletter.
Sorry for my language (and anger).
But it's real. And I must solve it. Luckily, the solution came to me.
I was roaming my basement between laundry loads, and someone liked a newsletter I wrote on December 08, 2019. I skimmed it, and I was impressed with two things:
My writing wasn't half bad (honestly enjoyed the voice I had then)
The skimability of it (straight to the point)
I'll be honest: my latest musings have been tiring. It's a ton of work, and I only have so much time, which is why I need to change.
I plan to focus more on my podcast next year, possibly going weekly. I want this email to be in a position where I can spend one hour writing and sending instead of four+. I love writing to you and having you respond, but I must focus on one content channel to reach critical mass.
It's a realization I've dreaded realizing.
But here I am, dragging my feet.
Rather than go into my marketing laboratory and come up with the formula, I thought I could ask you what would be helpful.
I'll propose a table of contents and encourage you to share your ideas/feedback. We can build a new format for this email together.
One constraint: Only five segments (not including intro), 50-100 word commentary.
Here's my first ugly draft (FUD):

Please tell me which ones I don't need and what you suggest 😊
Here's some marketing news to give you something valuable: OpenAI, ChatGPT, released a new model, 4o, this week.
First, it's free. If you haven't spun the wheels on Generative AI, your time is now. Go here and create a FREE FREAKIN account and spend 5-10 minutes a day for a week: https://openai.com/index/hello-gpt-4o/
Second, the voice enhancements have greatly improved. I tried the voice a while back, and it was slow and choppy. Now, it's creepy quick, and the voice has decent inflection.
Finally, it's a reminder with the amount of $ and momentum behind this, it's not stopping. AI is here to stay, and the quicker you can adapt and integrate with the machine, the better off you will be.
Thanks for jogging your eyes along for this week's musings. Please do respond and let me know how I can help you make progress with this new and condensed version.
And if you're just here for the ride, cheers. It’s been a fun 48 weeks so far.
Enjoy your weekend 😄
P.S. For those desperate and willing to read that newsletter from 2019:
